Building Surveys

Being the most detailed type of report we provide these are prepared to the RICS Home Survey Standard Level 3 being ideal for individual properties including large extended or older buildings.

The report will include full details of all visible elements of the building, information regarding the method of construction, items of disrepair and defects with advice about key future repairs. The report is tailored to the needs of the client and includes a reinstatement cost for insurance purposes.

Choose a Vospers Building Survey if you are:

What’s included in a Building Survey
Our Building Survey includes:

  • A detailed inspection of all accessible property parts, including the grounds
  • A description of the construction and condition of the property.
  • Consideration of future building performance and maintenance.
  • A description of visible defects, and the potential for hidden defects.
  • Photographic evidence (where possible) of key areas of the property
  • Recommendations for repair or improvement to the building including repair options and the likely consequences if no action is taken.
  • Guidance on budget costs for works, and their urgency.
  • A list of problems that may affect the value of the property
  • Comments on heating, wiring and plumbing, based on a visual appraisal.
  • An insurance reinstatement figure for the property
  • Advice for your legal advisers.
  • If instructed, valuation advice available for a supplementary fee
