What’s included in a Building Survey
Our Building Survey includes:
- A detailed inspection of all accessible property parts, including the grounds
- A description of the construction and condition of the property.
- Consideration of future building performance and maintenance.
- A description of visible defects, and the potential for hidden defects.
- Photographic evidence (where possible) of key areas of the property
- Recommendations for repair or improvement to the building including repair options and the likely consequences if no action is taken.
- Guidance on budget costs for works, and their urgency.
- A list of problems that may affect the value of the property
- Comments on heating, wiring and plumbing, based on a visual appraisal.
- An insurance reinstatement figure for the property
- Advice for your legal advisers.
- If instructed, valuation advice available for a supplementary fee
